The President, the Comedian and the Journalists.

The President wrapped up his latest media tour-de-force tonight with an appearance on "The Late Show With David Letterman" Monday. While I personally believe it diminishes the Office of the President and it's attendant stature, I understand the rationale behind it.

The President's Political Rorschach Test

In a moment of introspection and candor in his best-selling book "The Audacity of Hope", President Obama wrote, “I serve as a blank screen on which people of vastly different political stripes project their own views.” As his freshman Summer of Discontent gives way to what may well be a Fall of Frustration, his words seem profoundly prophetic.

Confrontation would be replaced by negotiation, the blunt force of militarism eschewed for the delicate intricacies and nuanced subtleties of diplomacy. Barack… Continue

He Didn't Start The Fire

Wrapping up a chaotic week long media tour de force that found him cynically stoking the fires of public rage over millions in AIG bonus payments, off-handily offending advocates and families of special needs Americans on “The Tonight Show” and caught in the throes of a patently inappropriate bout of giggles when queried about the economy on “60 Minutes”, President Obama held his second primetime news conference in as many months Tuesday night. No sooner had he taken the podium than he launched… Continue

Congratulations and Bare Knuckled Best Wishes to the Palin and Johnston families on the birth of Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston!

Delivered this past Saturday, Tripp - the son of Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston – weighed 7 pounds 4 ounces. Bristol is the oldest daughter of former Republican vice presidential candidate and Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin.

Palin and Johnston are reportedly considering a summer wedding.
